Another great Geodesist has left us. Professor Dr. Grafarend was very well known around the world
and has written many journal articles and books. One journal article was "The object of anholonomity and a?ÿ
generalized Riemannian geometry for geodesy" and one of his many books was "Map Projection, Cartographic
Information Systems" with a co-author of Friedrich W. Krumm. He was a good friend and I will miss him.
