Wendell's Grandma Oma passed away earlier today. She's finally at peace. I'll post more later when I'm able. Love to all of you.
I wish you and Wendell some much needed peace. Lana and I are in somewhat (but not the same) situation. It's tough to watch things out of your control spiral to it's final destination. It's life but, it's tough at times. Try to calm your thoughts about the "Witch" and focus on the fact Grandma will be no longer hurting in this world. No confusion, no pain....and no regrets. Although I know little more than what you have shared on FB and BL it sounds as though she lived a life so many should live.
Take care
Sorry for your loss. Great picture BTW.
I'm very sorry. You and your family are In our prayers.
Oh My! I'm so sorry. Grandma Oma looks as she lived to live the fullest of life!
Wendell, Angel, Miranda and Elly,
“Grandma Oma” looks like she had one hell of great time on earth. Don’t mourn her passing, celebrate her life with great memories! 🙂
Love to all of you!
Condolences
And praises for her life.
When it comes to the elderly the question to ask yourself, is did they miss out on living life? Seeing Grandma Oma with her bike, I seriously doubt it. Question is, how are you going to "Celebrate her life"?

Grandmas Motorcycle Pic
I have to say that is one of my most favorite pics of her. 🙂 She's almost 90 in that pic!
Wendell's cousins are avid riders. They thought for the Christmas 2008 pic they'd dress her up in their gear and pose her next to the bike. It took them a couple of hours to get her ready cause grandmas arthritis made it hard for her to slip into all of that "fancy stuff". When I first saw that I thought GRANDMA got on a motorcycle?! Then I figured they just photoshopped her head onto the cousins gear. Grandma told me no, she really did that pose and she told me she would have rode that bike if she could have!! Silly grandma.
She definitely did live a full life. I am lucky that she chose to love me like her own grandkids. I am lucky Wendell shared her with me. (I got stingy with HER!) I'm lucky I got to help and defend her all of these years. I'm lucky I got to eat her cheesecakes and home made rolls and jam and other delicious goodies!! I'm lucky she and I were both neat freaks and she trusted me to do her laundry and clean her house "just the right way." I'm lucky I gave her a great granddaughter. I just have been downright lucky since I met her 1992. 🙂 :good:
Forgive me for posting pics here and there. I just wanted to share. Sometimes the pictures tell more than what I can tell in words. :-$
Here's one of Grandma and Wendell in November 2005.

Looks like she lived a full and happy life. May she rest in peace. Prayers go out to the family.
God Bless you and all, as you lay your loved ones in their final resting place.
The scriptures are my source of consolation:
1 Thesalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
"Grandma Oma"? I think that's like saying "Grandma Grandma".
The way you describe her, she was quite a joy to be around. It seems that you are at peace with her passing, but you, Wendell, and your family have my condolences. I pray that the rest of your family has the same peace you seem to have.
They say time heals all wounds, but, Heaven heals them immediately.
Peace be with you during this time of sorrow and celebration.
