She was a 2 year old girl in our town. Ran behind her dads truck and was killed a few nights back. We live in a small town of less than 500. I estimate 400 were in attendance including the surrounding Fire and Police Departments sending representatives. My better half works with the father. As you can imagine the family is crushed and could use any prayers and good thoughts folks care to send.

For those with Facebook here is her memorial page.

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. I cannot imagine the anguish.

Mark: You might want to avoid using the term 'crushed'. 'Devastated' might be better.

You might be right there. I hadn't thought about it in the literal sense. It was a very nice vigil tonight. I've learned to love this town in my 2 years here. Tonight I saw how good people are in small town America.

I always hate seeing stories like this, but it always makes me think twice when I am backing out of my driveway and at church. I have a 4 yr old and a 17 month old and never take for granted that they are in the house. I see stories like this all the time and know that it can happen to anyone. I pray for God to give some peace to this poor family. Very Sad.
