TIMMS

Have any of you seen the new scanning technology from Trimble called TIMMS? I was recently at a conference where a local service provider had a unit on display. It is similar to land-based LiDAR, but mobile and offers GNSS, an IMU unit and video/camera. When talking to the sales individual from Applanix he mentioned that this has been around for quite a while, but they were only providing services to the military and federal government. They are just now promoting it to the private sector. They stated they have been utilizing it for emergency planning situations in schools.
