I wish to ask from Photogrammety experts in the membership of a good camera for UAV mapping. I am told that the Nikon Coolpix A provides very good result in mapping. As I am very new to UAV Photogrammetry field, I wish to learn from you guys of other altenatives if there is any.
My Aibotix X6 V2 package comes with the Agisoft Photoscan Professional.
Than you.

Arnel
I'm not an expert by any means but I've heard good things about the Sony NEX7 using a 16mm wide angle lens.
Also can anyone tell us what fixed lens we can use for sony nex7 ?

The Sony NEX7 provides good quality video. That is according to the suggested cameras provided by Aibotix.
At might place of business we have been testing the Aibot we chose the Samsung NX30 which was on the list of approved cameras. But it didn't work something between the hotshoe for geotags wouldn't work so we are looking into other cameras.
Don't get the Samsung NX30

Wonder how much those run?
I seem to recall a number around $80K for the complete package with all the bells and whistles + training. (Duel frequency GPS that connects to RTN networks for positioning)

I prefer it when the frequencies aren't dueling, but are cooperating instead.
As suggested by Aibotix, I bought the Sony A7R. Full frame and36.4MP. I am using Carl Zeiss fix lens.
You can't go wrong with a camera with a large image sensor. Auto ISO is also a good feature to have.
FYI to those interested:
Megapixels are not the most important important - the physical image sensor size is what to look for; a matched lens will give you the best results.
I learned this from a photogrammetrist. My grandfather was a lifelong photographer who concurred; unfortunately he gave all his equipment to my (younger and spoiled) sister.
