Yesterdays ALCS Tigers vs Rangers rain out pushed the makeup to this afternoon. Then followed by Monday Night Football between the Lions & Bears in what should be a great game.

This old Michigander is hoping to go 2 for 2 in the win column.... Oh My

I have to admit that I like the team that the Lions have put together, and that they should handle the Bears without any trouble. That being said, it is the NFL, so on any given Sunday (or Monday as the case may be) any team can win.

As far as the Tigers go, well I guess that they have a fighters chance. But losing Magglio Ordoñez and Delmon Young has got to hurt their chances. Ace Justin Verlander won’t pitch again until Game 5 at the earliest, so it really hurt Detroit when he lost game one.

So, in closing I would like to say...

HOW 'BOUT THEM RANGERS

HOW 'BOUT THEM STARS

HOW 'BOUT THEM COWBOYS

Oh my... but I expected the well deserved ridicule from my fellow beerleggers. 😛

Still, its kinda neat to spend the whole day watching your teams. Even if I should be out working.... the joys of self employment.

I do agree that the Young/Ordonez loss is HUGE. We'll just wait that one out, but.... the key will still go back to pitching. That is always where the pope defecates this time of year.

Now about those Fallen Stars. You guys got hosed last year. Not this year - see ya in May in round 2. Wings in 6. Tonight, the Stars will be a smilin'. Enjoy

On the other plus side, the Cowgirls didn't lose yesterday. Gotta love those bye weeks, eh.

I'll be pulling for the Lions. Wide receiver Calvin Johnson has been a favorite of mine since he played for Georgia Tech. Your young quarterback is a good one too even if he played for the "other" team in Georgia.

...like a machine. Amazing stuff there, and Matthew loves him and all the rest of his receivers.

Key game tonight, for certain. Enjoy it all you football-o-maniacs

Titus Young, too

Lions are my new favorite NFL team, I like their "never say die" attitude this year. Also, I've been a big fan of their rookie receiver Titus Young, ever since he played for my Boise State Broncos. Dude is fast, smart, tough, has great hands and a motor that won't quit (see Titus Young fumble recovery for TD for a good example). That's pure hustle. Hope you folks in Michigan appreciate that draft choice now.

Go Lions,

BC

So what your saying David...

... is that the final score will be 37-34 Bears? You know it will take at least 35 points to beat those lowly Lions on their home turf. Doubtful that Jay & crew will muster that with their 4 turnovers.

Could be a good year in Motown. The Lions, Red Wings, even the Pistons (lol) are all undefeated. Now Tigers... start a new streak to keep 'er going

cheers all
