If you think believing in Santa Claus is foolish and just for children...remember there are?ÿgrown men?ÿout there that think an ice chest can be worth $300...

It's Claus......Santa Claus. Mr. Claus to those of you on the "naughty" list.

I could be wrong but I think the one you've shown is more $$$ than that... At the local ag store I witnessed a lunch bucket with a $249.99 price tag.

My office mate tried to convince me of the need for one of these. I explained that I can empty the beverages from my igloo faster than the ice melts, so what's the point?

If I were going to be offshore fishing in the hot sun or camping all weekend without a way to replace the ice I would consider one.?ÿ BUT I can buy?ÿa LOT of ice for $500, and I normally freeze gallon jugs before going out.?ÿ Large blocks of ice last longer than the bags you buy.?ÿ I think they are a quality product, just not for me right now.

I have several and the point is not just ice retention but durability. You can use them to sit or stand on. My oldest one is 7 years old and all hinges, latches, tops and handles function like the first day. Something on my old igloo would break after a year of service and things would continue to break until I replace it.
