"What is your opinion of these test questions?"
They seem very general at best.?ÿ Some are downright foolish.?ÿ I guess the questionnaire just assumes you are lost near trees, water and animals.
One interesting question though:?ÿ Which would you choose to have with you, a knife or a lighter??ÿ ?ÿThat might require some thought. ;)?ÿ?ÿ

Surviving a plane crash unscathed, and stumbling into a a renegade weed patch would be like winning Powerball with $2. ?????ÿ

I'm thinking that getting lost and finding a sheltered bluff above a roaring river would be close to a vacation in my book.?ÿ Just find the rapids and wait for the whitewater nuts.
People do get lost and perish all the time while camping in moderate climates.?ÿ I'm thinking the difficulty would be more along the lines of getting lost in a desert area or somewhere the weather is a survival factor.

We have a penitentiary in SE OK.?ÿ The land can be rugged with few roads in places.?ÿ From time to time prisoners escape and run to the wilderness.?ÿ They always find them after about a week...hungry, dirty, covered with ticks, chiggers and wounds from the briars.?ÿ Can you imagine trying to make it through rough country with only Crocs for shoes?
While surviving "in the woods" might be doable for a lot of folks it's probably not very comfortable.
Back in the old days I liked camping. Then I got married. Her idea of survivalist camping is spending 2 night??s in a Prevost motorhome in the infield for the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway. ?????ÿ
You mean like this guy?

They recently used a Chinook helicopter to relocate the bus because every year people were going in there and having to be rescued and several died.?ÿ

I am no survivalist but that crazy quiz said I could stay out there indefinitely.?ÿ I call BS on that one.
Oh, the stories I could tell of Californians that came to AK and figured the whole place was bubble wrapped.
Of course, I was on the road system, so they multiplied in the summer...kept the economy going, but not a shred of "common" sense. Their coolers kept the high school kids in beer, so there was that.
They recently used a Chinook helicopter to relocate the bus because every year people were going in there and having to be rescued and several died.?ÿ
Should have left it...a kind of purification of the gene pool. Perhaps offer a rescue if they agree to sterilization?

Then one about what would I do if I saw a bear was tough to answer.?ÿ No option said that I would take a nap until the hallucinations stopped.?ÿ Only bears around here are in zoos.
This was about being lost.?ÿ I doubt you can get lost in an area where you can see at least one town's water tower within a short walk from almost anywhere.
I would have dropped dead before he/she had a chance to sniff me. ????ÿ
Neither one, but thank you for asking....................not!
The mere thought of snakes gives me the heebeejeebees.?ÿ Helper saw a small green grass snake yesterday.?ÿ I heard him talking to it and immediately raised my feet higher on the four-wheeler.
I used to be involved in Search & Rescue.
One time we went looking for a tourist missing for a couple of weeks in Fiordland National Park - probably the most rugged part of NZ.
We found her ok - only she was not missing and did not want to be found.
Turns out she was an Israeli Special Forces sergeant and was trying an exercise in living off the land. There is very little to eat in the NZ wilderness - she was living off eels and watercress.
She was one very hard lady
No snakes, no bears, no tigers
Our forests are safe and friendly - its either the weather (hypothermia) or the rivers (drowning) that kill
I can outrun a rattlesnake.?ÿ And if I can't, then I can outrun Holy Cow.
You don't have to be faster than the wolf; just faster than your buddies...

It helps if you bring your kids, too:
I doubt you can get lost in an area where you can see at least one town's water tower within a short walk from almost anywhere.
In Kansas, if the plane crashes an hour after takeoff you can probably still see the airport if you stand on the wreckage.
