We have joined the mandatory evacuation of Long Beach Island to head home to Cape Cod where we will not evacuate. Flooding has already started in the Brant Beach and south parts. Roads are filling with water and its reaching the first floors of businesses. Little Egg Harbor is breaching.

Don safe trip home. You are going to get some storm surge when you get to the Cape. I just got done calling my employees to tell them at the office will be closed the next two days. I had the big boat hauled Friday afternoon. Now they are saying there is a 40% chance at the marina that the surge will be high enough to float the boats off the stands. Our little boat is on a floating dock in a sheltered cove. That should be OK with the surge. The house and office are batten down. All we can do is wait.

Run Donald, Run! Don't get blown off the Sagamore by a rogue gust.

Latest I hear is 6-11 foot surge. More than previously stated.
This may be a true disaster if those numbers are true.
Most of my storm drain inverts are negative NGVD88 elevations and sefaeral roadways will flood. I was told to pack for a few days if I come in as we may not be able to get out due to road flooding due later in the day.
