ok...at the time I didn't realize what it was...but now I know..
I didn't feel it, but The wife and dogs did here in NW Ohio, Nephew did on Long Island.
Would not have been my first, we have felt several here, over the years.
Awesome. I've been in a few.
A 5.6 in Oregon was probably the most dramatic but there were a few while I live in LA that were pretty good.
I felt one about 3 years ago about 5 am. I thought someone was climbing in bed with me.
I have been in several and they do have an erie feeling...it is not normal for the house to shake??
Colorado shook, Virgina shook, could it be the Mississippi is going to run upstream again soon or a hydro plastic event in New York? Pressure in the crust seems to relieve itself over large areas with the events repeating over very rough but predictable times. Anyone looked at the history of both Colorado and Virgina shaking in the past?

It trembled pretty good here in Oneonta. Seemed to roll more than shake and lasted between 45 seconds and a minute.
We get them every couple of years and they are easy to miss up here but this one grabbed your attention.
My partners were setup on macadam and didn't notice it...weird.
Rick
I felt a small one here several months ago ... and it was my first.
That's a "different kind of feeling" huh?
Anybody re-doing an Opus run to see how much things moved?
I was on a site staking building corners about 100 miles from Mineral, VA, (epicenter). Never felt a thing.

I felt it here in Winchester while in the house, wasn't sure what it was for a few minutes. The wife, across town at work, was sitting at her desk when things started rocking and her chair started rolling. She was at ground level on a concrete slab.

Oddly enough, I did call myself out on this.
Here was my facebook post: Alright everybody, don't be alarmed... That wasn't an earthquake... I just had a lot of chili for lunch... A LOT!!! *BUUURRRRPPPP*
In all actuality, I think I was in the private bathroom in the Pulaski County, VA Circuit Court Clerk's vault. I honestly didn't feel a thing.

Don't feel bad about that Joe. Back in 88, when I was first moved to Kalifornia, we had some minor tremors and I didn't realize what was happening until about the 4th or 5th shake.
I felt it here in southwestern PA. I was trying to level up the S6 on a pedestal and the bubble was jumping all over the place. I felt something under my feet, but wasn't sure what was going on. Then I got a few text messages saying that there was a quake in VA.
