My office was invaded last night by a large red wasp that was beating himself silly on the can lights in my ceiling. After a couple attempts to knock it to the floor, I realized that I was going to end up breaking a light or cleaning remains off the the ceiling. Then I spotted the can of computer duster on the corner of my desk and an idea was born.
First I gave it a shot of air from the can to get it away from the light. Then while it was buzzing along the ceiling trying to get back to the light, I inverted the can and gave it a shot of the liquid. I thought I'd have to finish it once it hit the floor but the quick evaporating liquid had flash frozen it in mid-air.
crazy! I can't wait until my next wasp invasion so I can try it....hate those bast*rds.
Be careful there. Before you know it, you will become an engineer!

Sounds a good deal safer than one of my Binaca breath freshener mini aerosol flame throwers.

:good: 😀
Ether works pretty good too. Always have wasps nesting in farm equipment that sits around, so I keep a can of starter fluid handy.
Thanks for the tip. It sounds like fun! I'll have to try that method next time.
Another way to kill bugs is with one of those electric bug-zapper rackets. It's loads of fun...
Lots of very good useful information on this forum....:-P
Those are a ton of fun with gnats and flies, but this wasp would've required AC power. 😛
You need the 3800 volt professional model.
No need to swat, all a bug has to do is make contact and its burnt toast.
B-)
I have GOT to try this !! 😀
A man can only take so much of a big angry red wasp bouncing around his ceiling before he snaps.:-D
