Had the handheld with me during our hike yesterday, this is where we had lunch N 45.40949 W 121.71360 check it out!

Dang, do they have a Starbucks up there? A&W Root Beer? Sonic Drive-In?

Having never been in that part of the universe I had no idea there was a place named Rhododendron. I can just imagine a conversation between a telemarketer and a young customer going something like this....

TM : Ok, now where do you live?
KID: Rhododendron, Oregon.
TM : Can you spell that for me?
KID: No.

Major brain fart this morning. At first glance, I thought who in hell would want to “hike” through the “hood”, cripes it’s scary enough driving through let alone walk! B-)

nice place for a beer or 2 after a trip down 35 from the river.
