I am posting this morning from the ccu. Last night I had a heart attack they say. I thought at first it may have just been indigestion. 10 minutes later I knew it wasn't. Very painful and hard to breath. 3 stints and an angioplasty later I' am sore, but otherwise ok and should be able to go home either late today or sometime Saturday.

Glad to hear you will be headed home soon and it is a good thing you paid attention to the symptoms.

Sounds lke you are going to come through OK. I'm really glad to hear that.

But the really amazing thing is that all this has happened and you'll spend less than 48 hours in the hospital. We often hear the bad side of modern medicine, but it really can be amazing!

Get well quick!

It is utterly amazing that you are in a hospital bed after a neardeath type situation and you not only have access to the internet, but, that you are coherent enough to send us all a message. That bodes well for your recovery.

Now, to prevent future trips to the ER you must either give up hockey, sex or Beerleg. I feel so sorry for your wife.;-)

ANYONE(ESPECIALLY MEN), WHO REACH ABOUT THE 50'S!!!!!

PAY ATTENTION . . . to your body.

All that "civilized" diet of the past 40-50 years is catching up with you . . . along with deep-hidden(or sometimes very open and obvious), STRESS

STRESS
STRESS
STRESS
STRESS
STRESS

BE . . . VERY . . . CAREFUL

Thank God you had an incident that will hopefully scare the bejesus out of you about your health . . . not just you "muscular", or "weight", or "cardiovascular", but overall health . . . including E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G related to living from today to tomorrow

speaking of "to morrow"........

Hopefully I did it right

Glad you are ok. I've had to make a drastic change to my diet and lifestyle due to a recent health issue. It's tough, but you can do it.

Most likely the barbecue

> Last night I had a heart attack they say. I thought at first it may have just been indigestion.

You may not have mentioned this to your doctors, but I'll bet it was reading all those posts about barbecue that did it. The East Texas barbecue would have given the indigestion and the large quanties of other things probably were responsible for the blockage. In the future, if a thread has "Barbecue" in the subject line, be aware of the risks involved.
