It's official! Surveyors are by and large a bunch of cheapskate wind bags, more interested in finding out what others can do for them than what they can do for others. Don't believe me, or agree with me?

Prove me wrong!

It's like when your at "open" bar and nobody is quite sure who's picking up the tab for the open bar, so everyone drinks like fish and then disappear. Pretty soon it's you and the bartender.

I'm in with a monthly contribution. I usually decline these things, being a classic cheapskate windbag, but in this case I made an exception due to the value received in the form of information exchange not found elsewhere.

Don't forget that some people have simply mailed a check to Wendell rather than participate in the monthly route.

I asked for a payee name and mailing address a couple times... but I still have not seen one.

@Wendell can you verify that address? and who is the payee?

I do wish to continue support of SurveyorConnect as I have in the past (I prefer BeerLeg, but whatever)

Jim's address is correct. It is the same one Wendell gave me. I made the check out to Harness Web Technologies.

Put "Noodles" as the payee. If it's big enough, I bet she'll find a way to get somebody to cash it for her.

funny

I will wait for confirmation

BTW: I assume that this "go fund me" does not reflect all contributions, or other scheduled payments ... it looks like all of the direct costs are already covered, perhaps labor is also.

Yes, the above info is fine. Thank you!

If one were to include the mailed in checks to the Patreon funding, and assuming they were intended as annual donations, we'd be at $271.

great, thanks Wendell.

I resumed my monthly donations with the new address and payee info.
The first check should arrive on the 15th of this month, and every month thereafter. (just another drop in the bucket.)

BTW: both of my banks provide a free "bill pay" service, it works fine. Recurring payments are an option I use. I see cleared checks on my bank statements, just like those old fashioned paper checks I no longer use.

Surveyors often complain (and rightfully so), that the public doesn't appreciate the value of what we do. But do we as surveyors appreciate the value of this board?

This board is a great resource, there is no doubt about that for a moment. Unfortunately though, I am not in a position to make monthly contributions. I have saved the above address and plan to make donations when I can.

Not only is there great information here, but also a great source of entertainment and discussion. Who could ask for more even if we can't afford to monetarily show how much it means to us?

John, I understand if funds are tight.
