I see that as of recently Holy Cow has made twice as many posts as the 2nd place one, Dave Karoly. It shouldn't be long before Paden Cash passes up Kent to become 3rd most frequent poster.

I don't understand the energy HC must have to be a surveyor, real estate agent, farmer, school board member, on other civic boards, and find time to be most frequent poster. I think he has mentioned sleeping also, but I'm not sure.

We have some folks who haven't been on the forum as long as those who are racking up a count, too.

The statistics at the bottom of the page say there are now 50K topics posted.?ÿ Not sure I've looked at all of them, but most have gotten at least a glance.

Perhaps HC has hired a ghostwriter to keep his social media presence lively. Have you checked his activity on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.? He could be building a brand for himself. Maybe even changing careers to "influencer"...

Volume does not necessarily equate with quality.?ÿ You will find plenty of posts that are dedicated to keeping this a fun and lively place to visit.?ÿ Remember hos a version of RPLS.com faded into obscurity when there were less than a dozen posts per day TOTAL.?ÿ Joshing with Wild Bill (FL/GA) about his age earlier is an example of that.

Just last week I decided to let my real estate license lapse.?ÿ Every year for the past 20-some I have said "Next Year" will be the year I dive into this seriously.?ÿ Next year has never arrived.

Right now, thanks to my sciatic nerve problem, I'm paying an experienced hand to keep the cows entertained every couple of days.?ÿ Same story of the farming.?ÿ Gotta share the wealth someday.?ÿ It just as well be today.?ÿ Getting an MRI on my spine in a few hours.

No instagram/twitter/tiktok and all those other things are foreign to me.?ÿ I do not have a Facebook account but the wife does.?ÿ I skim through a lot of that stuff but almost never make a comment.?ÿ It looks like she's the one making the comment so I have to be very, very careful.

Right now, thanks to my sciatic nerve problem,

I have a sciatica that recently went beserk and is still insane. I have tried every stretch and contortion excercise imaginable for the last 10 days. Still hurts like hell. Just ordered a cane off Amazon that will help me wobble in to see the doc. Right now I'm electrocuting it with one of those thingys you stick on and it sends electrical jolts to wherever. SWMBO has had enough of my bitching for the last 10 days and is threatening to place me in some rehab center if I don't shut up. ?????ÿ

18ƒ? deodor cedar fell on to neighbors garage roof so Iƒ??ve been dealing with that. Got a tree guy to remove the tree yesterday and this morning. Fortunately it fell onto an 8ƒ? privet which slowed it so the damage is very minor considering what it couldƒ??ve done. 4 trips to the dump today to get rid of the debris. Temporary patches on two holes.

@flga-2-2?ÿ

I had a sciatica problem a while ago and I don't know if this will work for you, but it was simply from sitting on a fat wallet in my back pocket. Since then I've been carrying it in my front pocket. Also helps to befuddle pickpockets (if such a thing still exists).

In my case the wallet would be exactly in the wrong place.?ÿ Also, a belt hits the wrong spot as well.?ÿ The more than 30 minutes on the MRI table yesterday about did me in.?ÿ Nothing to do with what they were doing.?ÿ All about having pressure on the start of the sciatic bundle of nerves and the pain of my leg being supported by something that put too much weight on a bad spot.?ÿ Agony that would not stop no matter how hard I tried to pretend I had Lamaze training over 40 years ago with baby number 2. ???? ?????ÿ

Apparently this comment will be Number 24001.?ÿ Hadn't looked for a long time.?ÿ Wendell promised some new symbol for hitting 25,000.?ÿ With my luck, it will be something like a big mouth. Or gust of wind.

Being in a silent office most all of the time, I do not have the typical distractions that occur in an open office scenario, such as the phone ringing on the desk on the other side of the cubicle panel about three feet from my ears and knowing the only person who would answer it is out of the building.?ÿ Thus, for a quick distraction, I will click on this site probably 20 times per day (20 hour day).?ÿ That way there are relatively few posts compared to checking in every other day or once a week.?ÿ So, I get my quick distraction, then return to what I am supposed to be doing.?ÿ That, plus having been involved with surveying since 1978, provides tons of background and a huge probability that I may have encountered a situation similar to what the poster has been encountering..?ÿ Note that you will not see me attempting to make comments on many of the technical topics that relate to specific equipment or software as I probably have no relevant experience to offer.

Well since you are speaking of records, I, proudly, have more "dislikes" than all of the above put together, so there!!! ?????ÿ

Agony that would not stop no matter how hard I tried to pretend I had Lamaze training over 40 years ago with baby number 2.

After that failed would they give you an epidural? ?????ÿ

Interesting that you bring up epidural treatment.

This morning I received a telephone call from my doctor.?ÿ The MRI showed that I do have a bulging disc at the L5-sumpun/sumpun/sumpun juncture that is affecting the right side sciatic nerve bundle.?ÿ The immediate recommendation is to keep doing what I am doing and it will gradually heal.?ÿ If things get worse, then she might recommend visiting with an orthopedist who is the specialist for this concern.?ÿ She said that one thing they can do for pain relief for a period of time is epidural treatment.

Last week they x-rayed my left hand to attempt to determine what is going on with the big knuckle of my middle finger.?ÿ The determination is that no immediate action is needed.?ÿ They could not determine what the bump atop that knuckle is.?ÿ It could be a calcium deposit or something else that will probably not increase discomfort over time.?ÿ Any kind of surgery might result in scar tissue that could be a bigger problem.?ÿ That finger is the one that was kicked by a cow in late September as I stabbed her with half of a long-handled shovel handle in the butt to get her to move.?ÿ The handle landed over 25 feet behind me.?ÿ This photo was taken about 15 minutes after being kicked and having been washed off by a garden hose in the cow lot.

@holy-cow?ÿ

I had a similar bulging disk at the L5 problem about 15 years ago. I had the epidural injection under flouroscope and the problem was resolved and has not recurred. It might be worth considering.?ÿ

Now I just have two failed shoulder replacements cramping my lifestyle.

Getting old is not for sissies!

@holy-cow

"Interesting that you bring up epidural treatment."

I brought that up as a joke. Me (reluctantly) and SWMBO did that "lamarge" breathing fiasco. She made it about 20 min in lamaze labor before everyone present agreed it would be in everyones best intrest for SWMBO to have an epidural. After realizing that I was actually going to witness a live birth I begged them for an epidural or any Schedule I Controlled Substance narcotic they may have confiscated in the ER. Apparently they didn't hear me and failed to provide any medication to keep me from gaging and passing out. ?????ÿ
