It is free Tom!:-D
yswami, I probably had that coming......
Aloha, @Rankin_File I think Wendell just directed them to Karma Cafe! From @Wendell's banner all I can tell is, these "abusive requesters" served what they deserve. +o(
Good example of "looking" but not "seeing". Best regardt to you and your Brothers!
B B-)
When you get good service at the Karma Cafe, it is a good idea to tip generously. Are you allowed to bring your Dogma to the Karma Cafe?
Let's just say that I'm not amused when people act like they are entitled to being served instantaneously, abusively telling me what to do, for a free service that is actually losing money and on the brink of total failure due to lack of funding. Please don't take that as a call for financial help -- it is not. I'm looking for new ways to provide some sort of method to keep things alive for the surveying community so I can continue to provide this as a free service. I'll elaborate a bit more soon, with a (polite) request for feedback on some ideas I have.

KARMA REPAIR KIT
Items 1-4
1. Get enough food to eat,
and eat it.
2. Find a place to sleep
where is quiet,
and sleep there.
3. Reduce intellectual and
emotional noise until
you arrive at the silence
of yourself,
and listen to it.
4.
Aloha, @Joe Ferg
Missing #4...
I have a Karma preventive maintenance kit for you..:-D
Intelligent action and dispassionate reaction! With this kit you can walk into any Karma Cafe...you will always be served the right stuff.:bye:
@Wendell Sorry to hear about grief people are causing you! Here is an idea...Would you consider putting up a banner? Wikipedia does for a month once a year. They do this every December I think. They have a goal set for the year and constant update how much was donated and how much needed. You can even keep for 45 days or so. Something to consider. Aloha

I found this one particularly funny AND it is something I see so often in people around me. It reminds me of a song lyric:
"We spend all of our lives going out of our minds, looking back to our birth, forward to our demise."
Basically saying that so many people focus too much on "hurrying up to the next big thing" or "longing for days gone by" that they miss out on what they have right there at that moment. Yeah, there are memories I have that I'll always remember fondly. And there are many things that I look forward to. But, I try hard to also keep my mind focused on the things I have in the present. An evening on the patio with my gal; some time spend working in the yard with my son; going to my mom's for dinner. They are all very simple and not very exciting, but they sure are wonderful to experience while they happen.
If you find yourself thinking about how you'd be happier somewhere else, you'll never be happy with where you are.

I couldn't have said it better myself.
