The Top Ten things only the cows know about their owner

10. He frequently rehearses his excuse speeches for his wife ƒ?? I missed our anniversary because ..., I was late for supper because ƒ??, etc.

9. When itƒ??s cold, he wears this goofy stocking cap with a big red ball on top but keeps his well-worn silver belly in the truck for trips to town.

8. He sings (loudly) classic rock and golden oldie country out in the pasture.

?ÿ

7. He canƒ??t sing a lick.

6. He unleashes Old Testament-style wrath on the boss cow if she pushes his favorite old gal out of the cake line.

?ÿ

5. He once aimed over the head of his neighborƒ??s chronically ƒ??outƒ? bull and, well, heck, you know heƒ??s not that good of a shot.

4. He often does the very things heƒ??s told his kids not to do ƒ?? assume the cows wonƒ??t bother the left-open gate, give it heck trying to jump the gully, etc.

3. He verbally scolds the bottom-end producers with the threat of going to town.

2. He seems to think his saddle horse is a therapist with whom he can share deeply personal issues ƒ?? Dr, Club-Footed Sack-o-Cat Food?

1. He alternately gives thanks or cusses for having the best/worst job in the world.

Yes, I do.?ÿ And, she seems dang proud of that fact.?ÿ The foolish girl must think she married up as the old-timers would say about someone marrying into a social status above their own.?ÿ She didn't, but let her have her fantasy.

@flga-2-2?ÿ

Wrong - 50 years, feels like either 100 years or 6 months, all depending...

Bank balance says it looks more like 100 years and counting...

@sergeant-schultz?ÿ

#2 is probably much more accustomed to such comments than #1 ever was.?ÿ That's why she's lasted as #2.

My #2 learned early that I was prone to say what I was thinking, whether she liked it or not.?ÿ I think the first time was when we were dating and she got huffy and said, "That's enough.?ÿ I'm going home."?ÿ And, my response was, "Don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out."

On a different occasion she was mad and was making sure I understood she was mad, very mad.?ÿ She elevated to upset when I said, "You'll get over it."

That was over 25 years ago and she's still here.

Boy you're not kidding...#2 is in it for the long haul, she just gives me a dirty look or punches me in the arm. We're in our 17th year together.

Back when I was still living with my parents there was a neighbor lady whose son grew much taller and bigger than she was.?ÿ She would tell him to sit on a chair.?ÿ Then, she would start yelling at him for some appropriate reason.?ÿ She could be far more dominating by using that trick.?ÿ Sadly, my mother learned and employed that technique as well.

That may be so, but does she (or you for that matter) realize that she can make a fist and reach the same height, but on the front side.
