I'm through both sessions, the first vaccine really took a toll physically. The second one wasn't as bad, but between the two I was effected for 3-4 weeks.?ÿ

SWMBO was a few weeks behind me and also has been struggling from hers.?ÿ

Hope everyone is safe out there and monitors their health when they get the shot.?ÿ

The wife and I tested positive at the beginning of November. The following two weeks was about as sick as we've ever been. Both of us are still having autoimmune responses. Most shocking is going from a1c of 6.5 to insulin dependent in a matter of weeks.

Lori got her vaccine and had no issues. I got shot one (moderna) last Friday and was useless Saturday. Looking forward to second shot so I can get out and get a few things done.

The symptoms reported are all over the place, from nearly none to major.?ÿ There is probably a tie to how the individual may have been affected by an actual infection of COVID, but that is merely a guess.?ÿ My experience with both shots of the Moderna vaccine were quite minimal, but did feel a bit winded after the second shot.?ÿ My wife had more discomfort in both cases but nothing too significant.

A friend who had COVID a few moths ago reported the shots gave him more problems than we he had the virus.?ÿ Another friend who had the virus a couple of months prior to the vaccinations reported having more discomfort than I had from the vaccine.

I've read that experts on vaccines report that the response to vaccinations is tied to one's DNA.

My wife had negligible reaction to the Pfizer.?ÿ I had negligible reaction to the first Moderna, and a mild reaction to the 2nd with 100.5 F and malaise for a day or so.?ÿ

Those reactions are the most typical of people I've talked to.

My wife, my 86 year old mother in law and I have all had both sets.?ÿ None of us had any reaction except for some minor tenderness at the injection site.?ÿ My daughter had Covid back about the first of the year.?ÿ She lost her sense of taste and smell for about 10 days to two weeks and some fatigue.?ÿ Other than that she did well.

I've known people who died from Covid and others who were REALLY sick so we jumped at the chance when it was available.

My 96 y/o FIL had no effects from the shot at all.

Since I've been travelling so much the last year I've was tested 6 times, all negative. The reactions to the shots for me weren't Covid related symptoms.?ÿ?ÿ

It was more like a poison reaction.

Ended up going to the doctor, tested negative for the 7th time. The doctor changed some medicines I'm taking, but that didn't help.

I simply needed time to recover, now I'm feeling much better and can go to the gym and work out, which I couldn't do until Sunday.?ÿ

Not looking forward to the next time, but if it allows me to see family I will take them again.?ÿ

I tested Covid positive 12/15/2020.?ÿ No fever, had loss of smell and taste.?ÿ Other than that moderate cold symptoms.?ÿ

I'll be waiting until the end of summer to get the vaccine allowing for more facts to become available and further review of the data.

I may get an antibody test in mid May mainly to satisfy my own curiosity.?ÿ

SWMBO and I both got the Johnson shot. No problems afterwards.

I was scheduled for a Drive through vaccination site, my wife drove. When we got there she asked if they had any extras. The person checked with the boss and they said OK, so she got hers at the same time.

@andy-j I miss those times. My cousin and I would play. Slug Bug was worth one shot to the shoulder but Slug Bug a Bus was worth five.

@one-cup-o-joe

The Moderna vials contain 10 doses.?ÿ Thus, near closing time they want to use all 10 in a vial that has been opened, otherwise they are destroyed.?ÿ Most mass vaccination sites have plenty unless there are significantly more people than expected.?ÿ Then they stop at the last dose out of the last vial.

Study just out:

Rare to catch Covid after first dose.

Very rare to catch Covid once two weeks have passed after the second dose.?ÿ

A study of 36,000 health care workers, only 7 of the 36,000 in the study tested positive 15 days after the second dose.?ÿ

I believe I'm reading the story correctly.?ÿ

And people testing positive had milder symptoms than unvaccinated.?ÿ

No positive health care worker in the study was hospitalized or died.

The study may have been slightly skewed since it's possible positive tests may have occurred because the patient could have been exposed before the vaccine.?ÿ

It's been three weeks since my wife and I had our second Modernas.

I'm working on my third Anheuser-Busch dose right now after a long day in the field.
