I'd modify it with a bolt in the back so that it is positioned slightly out from the wall and able to rotate 360?ø.?ÿ Now with a quick twist it will feed left, right, over the top or from underneath........I should patent that.
If you have young kids it's under so they don't unroll the whole roll on the floor. If you're over 50 it's on the top so you can find the end easier. Pretty basic rules to live by. Easily solved by his and hers restrooms.
