The flight plan has been logged. Santa has been to New Zealand and is currently on the East coast of Australia.

Expected in Perth in 2h 40m.

By the time he reaches the west coast of the US we will be sitting doen to Christmas lunch on aa hot 40c (104f) day.

The inlaws are coming to our place this year. Cold meat and salads will be replacing the traditional roast this year.

Merry Christmas to all my fellow beer leggers

Cheers

Graham

We are having a prime rib on the barbecue and a bottle of Justin Cab to go along with it, with friends.

Merry Christmas everybody!

It's now 6am Christmas morning and already 80f.

My brother just rang from Melbourne forgetting about the 3 hr time difference. He copped a dose of the christmas grinch for waking me up.

Santa has been and left the usual socks and undies.

Time now to complete the preparations for the horde that will descend on us in 4 hours time.

Cheers

Graham

"Santa has been and left the usual socks and undies."

In my case, Santa has to special order the undies from Omar the Tent and Undies Maker.

Merry White Christmas From Pennsylvania

Started snowing during supper, about 3/4" on the ground, Some light misty rain now, but the snow should last through the night.

Before supper I had both grandsons to myself. The 3 month old sleepng in my right arm and the 1 month old sleeping in my left. What a great way to relax.

I figured out that both grandsons can take the hunter safety course together. Both will be 12 before Thanksgiving 2024, so that will be the big deer season.

ARs are backordered through April.

Merry White Christmas From Pennsylvania

We could have done with some of that white stuff in Perth today. After a scorching (103f) day Christmas festivities have now ended (9pm Perth time).

Time for a quiet adult beverage before an early night.

Everyone enjoy what is before you and behind me. Family friends and good cheer.

Cheers

Graham

Merry Christmas From West Virginia

We didn't get any of the white stuff here in Huntington today. We did get a couple of inches a two or three days ago though.

The AR's are difficult to get your hands on right now but the wife did get me a new pistol. The Ruger SR9C she got me is one sexy gun and it will be the one on my side for awhile.

Merry Christmas!

Ok, Got another Christmas

My wife and I agree that while it was a low key Christmas, it was one of the nicest ones ever. Things just went well, perhaps because we know how blessed we have been and appreciate each other. New clothes, goodies from the grandkids, and on top of that Bailey the Beagle enjoyed the unwrapping even more than we did (I kept putting little pieces of cookies in the paper and tossing it up for her to tear open). And, I got Live Mail working on Vicki's new Dell computer, which is twenty times faster than her old one, at least.

We also had a nice early present. Several weeks ago I helped a paralegal with a minor boundary dispute. I did it as a favor more than anything and only charged them $200 to sort it all out. Yes, cheap, I know, a real lowballer, but I only do residential work as a favor. Friday at 4 pm she called with the news that a client needed an ALTA on a commercial site to close in one week. Could I help? By 5 pm I had downloaded everything I needed for the proposal and sent it to her. By 5:10 pm they had accepted the proposal and had the check cut!!! I did most of the field work on Saturday, finished it on Sunday, and they had a pdf of the completed drawing first thing Monday morning. Win, win, win all the way around. I do enjoy ending the year with a nice commercial project.

Merry Chistmas to all, and may we have a better New Year.

Ok, Got another Christmas

many relatives came and stayed for a short time, left right after the electricity went out at 10:20am

electricity came back on around 3pm in time for a mix of rain, sleet & snow for a few hours

now it is hovering just above 30 and the chicken and rice is cooling beside a skillet of mexican cornbread

I have three finished jobs awaiting their clients.

Gonna start back next week.

Ok, Got another Christmas

Did our primary thing on Sunday at the oldest daughter's house. Today, was hang around the house and do a few chores type of day. Resting up for this coming Saturday, Sunday and Monday with my three daughters only. Going to give them the chance to be sisters-only for a couple of days. No kids, husbands, significant others, work, etc. Just them and me talking, shopping, doing whatever seems like fun. According to Mrs. Cow, she is paying for all of this. Sounds good to me.
