Here's one I found looks like a fun book about a surveyor and a mystery.
I just started reading it. Not literature certainly, but, like I say, it looks like a fun read.

There was another one similar to this called "Off Parallel". Not too bad as long as you are not expecting too much. Surveyor discovered a long kept secret..falls in love..some one dies..But Survey related.
I just started it today, and so far it's pretty good. Maybe the best book I've read featuring a surveyor as the main character. I disagree with some of the stuff he says about surveying, but so far a pretty good read. For $0.99 you can't beat it.
Good timing. I was looking for something to read; I just finished Si-cology 1: Tales and Wisdom from Duck Dynasty's Favorite Uncle and Rocket Boys.
Judging by the comments and ratings on your link, it sounds like it might be a pretty good book, even for nonsurveyors. That's cool. I might try to download it.
I used to work with this guy. I learned a lot from him.
I have to admit I haven't read all of them but they are survey
related and different. If you want a survey related story
he's da man.
I've read all the Catskills books; I didn't know about his other stuff.
You worked with him? That is very cool.
How long before he said "Roxie, you're out of here. I can't take it any more!"
Just joking, what's the story?

We climbed lots of mountains together. He didn't know when to stop. We four wheeled our way in, climbed a mountain, Got going up and down terrain made of rocks and a few trees. The trees would crack if the wind even blew a little. HE actually said "pack it up" because it was so cold. I didn't think he could say that... We bought him a thermometer to hook on his coat zipper after that. The screen on the FC-1 was led and went blank - good thing we were button pushers - you could tell by the beeps that it was working.
Another time, I saw someone else slide about 300 feet down a hill covered in ice - he held on to the equipment all the way. I knew that going up there was a bad idea before we started to even try getting up there. Landed/stopped about 3' from the creek. The creek didn't freeze because it moved so fast. His last name was Gormley but we called him Gormelli. I can tell you Norm has been there.
He liked his set "stone in stone mound". He can tell you about them.
