For those of y'all that like to see short sellers squirm during a successful wolf pack attack.

It was a great story, it will not last, but maybe they cleaned out the shorts for now.

I discovered a foolproof way to make money in the stock market.?ÿ

All you need to do is buy when I sell and sell when I buy.?ÿ

The reddit army is in full force! They are waiting to take a bit out of shorters. Personally, I feel speculative calls shouldn't be allowed and it should be as simple as buying and selling shares for the long hold with respectable marginal profits.

Shorters are important, they naturally regulate the markets. I was going through old records after my mother passed last year. My grandfather shorted stocks quite a bit, even back in the fifties and sixties. The big funds are a different story from the little guys. I've also made some money renting to shorts.

I think the whole thing is hilarious.

Now it's OK if the general public looses 5 billion bucks on the market.?ÿ But when the big boys lose that much because someone else was on top of their game it's not OK?

Is it an open market or not?

Personally I think they are rich and crazy. But the rich and crazy ones are privy to insider trading information and only receive a slap on the hand (subsequent everyone involved coffers being satiated) when they get caught after making a $b or two. I just like to watch them and hedge fund managers sweat for a change instead of seeing a tour of their new house (the average size about the same as a suburban mall) they paid cash for. I think it's called jealousy. ?????ÿ

Those stocks will drop back to prior levels soon, when the shorts get done covering, so I wouldn't want to hold the shares now.?ÿ

I would never short. I would buy a put option if I had strong expectations a stock was going to go down. Then you can only lose the price of the option.

But I looked at Gamestop options after hearing about this action and didn't want in when a single put contract was $8000. That would be the loss if the stock didn't go down enough in a few weeks. Win could have been more than that if it went back to last month's level. I mostly buy the less speculative stocks.

I understand the motivation and the pleasure gained from twisting the knickers of the hedge funds but what is their endgame? They can't get their capital back without selling to someone else. Do they really think they can "create" enough buyers to follow them and dump these purchases on the following buyers?

So you jammed up the hedge fund managers who were short now what? You are left holding a bunch of overpriced stock that you can't get your money out of.

Some instigators probably got out at a good price, leaving the lemmings to eat the loss.

Apparently they are done with Gamestop and are striking out anew at Rocket Companies, Inc. (RKT) The bigwig money gurus switched RKT from sell to hold.

RKT took an 8% jump this morning but has sagged back to near yesterday's close. I don't see a squeeze happening yet.?ÿ Where did you get your info?

If they do to this one what they did to GME, now is the time to buy call options with a strike a little above current quote.

I searched and it seems most of the comments about RKT squeeze were 2 days ago.?ÿ So maybe it didn't take off? Searching Reddit for rkt doesn't bring up any posts, not even the ones Google lists.?ÿ So I suspect Reddit killed that topic.

RKT is taking off today, currently 10% over yesterday.?ÿ It took an hour and a half to exceed its average daily volume. Not sure if/how long it will hold up.

I lost a little money on a call option after the previous post, because it had expiration too soon, but bought a few shares that have gained 17%.?ÿ Should have gone for the mid-March option.

I'm pretty new to this stuff, but I've been on Reddit for about 10 years. I saw all the chatter about GME pretty early on, and bought it at $20/share just for fun. I only bought 5 shares but my intent was to join the movement. I just wanna be one of the cool kids. 😉
