Bienvenidos a bordo Darryl! I am in Texas but closer to Los Angeles than Houston. Fish are few and far between out here and the ones that you do find come in the form of a stick.

People had trouble believing me when I told them that over 1/2 of my trip from Houston to San Diego was in Texas.
1501 total miles. 790å± in Texas. Filled up 1 time at a Texaco on the south side of El Paso. Two tanks Total of 75 gallons available.

It is a haul from Houston to El Paso. I have done it a few times.
It is 799 from my house to El Paso.
Did go to Midland once and Lubbock a few times, except now I don't go any farther than Ft Worth if I actually make it past Arlington.
From here I've got to go uphill just to get to Houston a few times a year.
