Now that two of us have used the term "megathread" it pops into my mind to ask if that is a new word.

I'm the assistant Chief Surveyor for Harris County. I am also in the process of starting a side gig to encroach on my already time consuming hobbies of bass fishing and old vehicles. But I could use the extra $$ because both hobbies will DRAIN your bank account. I found this site googling around for radio information and read the thread on solo startups. So I registered.

Do you know Jack Chiles?

Texas Punishes Violators for failure to note ID caps on plat/description

That's the title of the megathread I was referencing. It only has 371 posts to date. It was started by Shawn Billings on November 9 and has comments through late February.

Bienvenidos a bordo Darryl! I am in Texas but closer to Los Angeles than Houston. Fish are few and far between out here and the ones that you do find come in the form of a stick.

People had trouble believing me when I told them that over 1/2 of my trip from Houston to San Diego was in Texas.

It is 799 from my house to El Paso.

Did go to Midland once and Lubbock a few times, except now I don't go any farther than Ft Worth if I actually make it past Arlington.

From here I've got to go uphill just to get to Houston a few times a year.
