New to the forum but my name is Dave and Iƒ??m a 23 year old surveyor from south Jersey. I have 2 years of surveying with an engineering firm under my belt and just landed a job with a construction company doing layout. I also go to school part time and have approximately 30 credits left in my Surveying Engineering Technology degree. Iƒ??m hoping to get licensed in the next 3 years so looking forward to soaking up as much knowledge as I can through here!

Kia ora - that's Kiwi for hello.

Welcome - I'm a grey-haired old geezer from the South of New Zealand.

You will find lots of great info and people here in Wendell's madhouse.

Don't be afraid to ask questions and jump on in.

Howdy and welcome, your education begins here..........

I did not realize that a survey license could be gained from no boundary experience. In Texas all survey experience accepted for licensure is 100% boundary related.

good luck

@a-harris

I also work part time with a property surveying company so I should have enough ƒ??experienceƒ? by the time I sit for the PS. Thank you for pointing that out though, Iƒ??ll definitely look more into that.

Oh to be 23. With the future of surveying what it is and the available possibilities, you will have endless choices!

Expand your horizons, read and learn everything you can, do not get stuck in a rut, join your State organization.

Welcome!?ÿ I wish I had learned about how awesome surveying is at 23 also, and I'm still having blast in spite of a later start.?ÿ This place is a tremendous resource of more years of knowledge and depth than any books will imbue, although will augment in the same way.
