Hi all.
Carl here posting from the Emerald isle. Been following surveyor connect for some time now so decided to become member so I could get involved in some of the topics.
Surveying, mostly setting out the past 10 years and really enjoy picking up tips from all the dinosaurs out there....
I would mostly use terramodel and have started using civil 3d which to be honest I'm finding not the easiest.
Out on site, I use a trimble R6 with tsc2 and 5600 robotic (no s8 I know, there has been a recession in Ireland the past 5 years).
I am very interested in getting into laser scanning but to date haven't had the oppertunity.
Anyway, looking forward to chatting and soaking up all the experience I can from you guys.
Carl

Do you know the reason that there are only 239 beans in Irish bean soup?

Well (in my best Old Brogue) one more bean would be "2 fardy".
Welcome Carl, which parish is it ye're from?
Less than 2.5 hours and Mr. Irish meets Mr. Irishman. Fantastic.
Was in Dublin, Cork, and Killarney two years ago. Fantastic country. Great people, and we had an awesome time visiting. Yes the said they were hammered by the recession, seems like tough times were spread all around the globe. I'd love to go back one day, much more to see and enjoy!
Welcome Carl!
Welcome

Is that George Harrison in your profile picture?

That would be Mr. Keith Richards, circa 1966 (IIRC). Now that you mention it, there is a resemblance to George Harrison. The Casino might have something to do with it.
