If your browser is forgetting your logins without you deleting history or cookies, several factors could be causing this issue:
- Cookie Settings: Your browser might be configured to delete cookies upon closing. Check your cookie settings to ensure that cookies are allowed and not set to clear when the browser is closed.
- Browser Extensions: Some extensions or add-ons can interfere with cookie storage. Try disabling extensions one by one to see if the problem persists.
- Privacy Settings: High privacy settings may block cookies or require you to log in every time. Ensure that your privacy settings are not overly restrictive.
- Corrupted Profile: Your browser profile might be corrupted. You can try creating a new user profile to see if this resolves the issue.
- Software Conflicts: Security software or other applications running on your computer may be interfering with your browser's ability to store cookies.
- Browser Updates: Ensure your browser is up to date, as bugs or issues in older versions might cause problems with login persistence.
- Incognito or Private Mode: If you're using incognito or private browsing mode, your logins won't be saved after you close the session.
- Browser Reset: If all else fails, resetting your browser to its default settings can help resolve persistent issues.
Check these areas to troubleshoot the problem, and hopefully, you'll find a solution that works for you!
I tried all suggestions. But this is the only site I frequent that seems to forget after a few times.
I just login when I want to post or do something that requires login.
I do use Opera browser, probably not many using Opera.
I agree with ozzy84, my login status is forgotten after a week or so, and this is the only site that behaves that way. I use Firefox and Windows 11, but I used Windows 10 until a few days ago. I don't recall if it happened after the 10 → 11 upgrade.
Same here. After a week or so, I am automatically logged out. So I log in with my name and password, check the box that I am a human, and check the box to remember me. Only website where this happens.
I use Windows 10 and the Chrome browser.
