I was going to reply to the thread on crews showing up on Google Maps street view. No matter how I tried to reply I was told I needed to login first. But it was for the Public Land Surveyors of Oregon website. Obviously, I don't have an existing identity and password for THAT site.

Happy to see I can post a new subject here on good ol' Beerleg.

Figured it out

I had clicked on the first link provided by Jered McGrath. There were a bunch of replies by other Beerleggers. Didn't realize I was still connected to the PLSO site instead of Beerleg. Amazing what can happen when you aren't thinking strait/strate/strayt/straight.

I'm glad I'm not hallucinating. But I'm confused - why do I still see this?

Wendell made this website to be able to connect from state surveyor sites.

I still don't get it

I was fooled into thinking I was on Beerleg because of the posts on the PLSO website by non-Oregonian Beerleggers. Even I somehow posted there in August 2011.

I still don't get it

It's the same site, branded with the local PLSO logo and a special domain name. It's still the same site, hence the "powered by SurveyorConnect" statement. It's basically another gateway into this forum.

You still have to login, but with the same credentials as the standard SurveyorConnect. That's mainly because you are coming in from a different domain. But it's still the same username/password, etc.

login problem

Wendell, when the request to login popped up I started to do so, thinking I had somehow been dropped from Beerleg in the past few minutes. When I login on Beerleg, the password magically takes care of itself once I enter Holy Cow on the first line. I have absolutely no idea what my Beerleg password is as it was changed a couple of times for some reason. I never need it so I don't worry about it. That roadblock is the only reason I looked up to discover I was on the PLSO website.

That's what happens...

When you inhale way too much methane early on Thursday morning. 😉
