Today will officially be the most-visited day since we opened the doors. It was a near tie with the previous high day when I looked at the stats just now, with today having a slight edge. And our stats for the day don't end for another 53 minutes or so.
Slow schmow. Nearly 1,800 unique visitors and 20,000 page views for today so far.

I'm a "check often, post seldom" kind of guy. There are many like me, I'm sure.
The way the other board is set up, you can not simply breeze through the latest topics, like you can do here.
I can be "up to speed" here in the time it takes me to find 1 good post to read over there.
I, personally, don't have the time to waste, clicking all around just to get to one post. I'm not fully retired yet.
To each their own. I have no need for a facebook or it's imitations.
It Was Slow For Me
Something went wrong last evening. I was on, then I was off. One of those 500HTP or something or other type of things. I absolutely could not get back to Beer Leg from anywhere.

You'll be disappointed if you expect retirement to give you time to waste. I sometimes think I need to get a job so I'll have some free time.
One of the busiest people I know is a retired military fellow. He donates time, labor and money to all sorts of local projects that support the community. I'll guarantee you that he will work much harder today than I will.

Yes, the server was upgraded last night, so there was about a 10-15 minute period of downtime. Sorry for the inconvenience, but it does make me happy in some twisted sort of way that the site is busy enough to have disrupted a few people. 😉

Sorry the site wasn't busy today. I was up on the roof of the hospital finishing my asbuilt. I got a nice stripe on my forehead from where the band of my ballcap blocked the sunlight. Otherwise, I am baked as a bean. I should be in the office tomorrow. We'll work on page hits and contributing posts then.
