I cannot seem to copy and paste text from a post with my iPhone.
So instead I try the quote button. But then I cannot seem to find where the quote went?

I just hit the Quote button on your post, then the Insert Quote button on my reply box.
Copy and Paste.

Foggy Don,
On the Iphone, On Brad Ottt's post, I did press screen select all and copy and paste to my reply post with no problema. Resason for deja vu dooo
Also the quote routines seem to work fine on the iPhone also.
Okay, me too. I was not patient enough...

It works like this on my iPad:
Click into the reply box.
Push +Quote.
An "Insert Quotes" button appears at the bottom left. Pushing it brings up a dialog that allows you choose what you want to quote.
It seems like in Windows 7 the insert button appears without being clicked into the box.
I will write up a tip for this, but the +Quote button is called "MultiQuote" -- you can quote several people, then insert quotes and reply to each one instead of having to go back and forth, one by one.
Even better, if you just want to reply to part of someone's post, click and highlight the text and a magical button with two choices will appear -- "Reply" and "+Quote". These work just like the regular buttons of the same names, but only quote the selected text.

That is expected behavior with MultiQuote... the insert button shows up automatically once it has quotes to insert. 🙂
