Yes. Wendell announced this yesterday. It is his contribution to the shutdowns that were going on today by Wikipedia, etc. Unfortunately, it will be back tomorrow.

So did it go off at a certain time?
I had just responded to a thread in a respectful manner. My post was shown and then a few minutes later I noticed a grammatical error and went back to edit it, and then...poof, gone.
I didn't get the memo
🙁
Don

Edit: Sorry, I'm still in the dark...so all P&R was then deleted?

Thanks, Wendell

I'm quite often the last to know (or understand).

Wendell, I respectfully recommend that.

1.) When you turn off P&R, that you put a sticky at the top, announcing it.
2.) That you periodically do this, just for the GOOD of the forum, and to keep everybody in perspective. This site is YOURS, and you can do what you want.
3.) This could be at times like when you need a vacation, or if you have had too many headaches, etc. This would also serve to help us all remember that this forum is NOT facebook, it is a SURVEYING forum.

Just my thinking out loud. It keeps you more

P&R's fine as long as people are civil.
That's not always the case, but it's not too bad usually.

> It actually has been a lot better lately.

I suspect that one major reason for this is the banishment of a few who could not (or would not) play well with others.
