A few days ago, I was going to send an email to wendell at the wendell at harntech address that you get by going to the "about" link. Suddenly, all sorts of warnings went up and my computer was toast. When I tried to restart my computer it would never finish booting up. I now have my computer back from the cyberdoctor and it seems to be all fine.

I recall a few months back that someone else had virtually an identical problem happen to them.

Do you suppose someone has intentionally tried to sabotage Wendell?

Who would know better than your cyber-doctor?

What did he/she say?

Call it coincidence, as we do not have any malware here and I make a point of checking on that constantly.

More Info for Brad

The current client has been made well aware of the fact that I routinely do work for the adjoiner, including two projects at this time. He understands that I will not mislead them in any fashion, if asked anything. In fact, representives of the major client saw us working in an area that should have made it fairly clear what we were surveying, but, have not asked, yet, as to what we were definitely doing. What the current client intends to do about the situation involving his property is a legitimate legal issue on which I should not comment on a public forum. Let's just say that the adjoiner should have exercised better attention to the common boundary line recently. If asked, I will say that I was surveying Lot XYZ. They can find the monuments we flagged quite easily and then realize why the current client is concerned.

Meanwhile, the crew spent most of today working on one of the current projects for the adjoiner at the opposite end of town. It's really nobody's business what we are doing for them at that location, so haven't gone out of my way to relate their intentions to anyone else.

Wierd, I've had two XP computers go down in the last two weeks with the exact same problem. When I turn it on, it would start to boot, a couple of normal boot screens would cycle through, then it would restart, and continue to cycle through the same screens... Is that what your computer was doing?

My computer guy said my "boot sector" has missing files, but also said the HD wasn't damaged. I doubt it's this website. I was thinking it was an XP or other "update" I get (Java, Adobe, etc) gone bad.

My recent computer woes started with an Adobe Flash Player update.

My desktop will not connect to the net through my LAN or with a direct wire to the modem. I have to use my laptop until fixed.
