Hi,

I am the engineering surveyor currently involved in the early stages of a major highways scheme in the UK.

I will shortly be putting forward a proposal for the acquisition of an integrated system for machine control, surveying and site engineering.

I have had a lengthy sales pitch from both Trimble and Leica and was wondering if anyone had any views on the relative pro's and con's of the two systems.

I have to be honest and say that I am currently leaning toward the Trimble package primarily because of the dual antenna, active prism, mag-drive and Trimble Connected Community features.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

My company uses both workflows, in the case of Machine Control I would select Trimble for all of the reasons you mentioned above.
