I tried to use the Trimble GNSS Planning site this morning in Firefox and it wants me to install Silverlight. Did that - no go, Tried again, "Silverlight already installed", no go. Tried Chrome, same thing. Downloaded Silverlight and installed. No go. Finally tried IE. it came right up!

Does anyone else find this problem? Maybe I should reboot and try again.

Silverlight and other NPAPI plugins are no longer supported by Firefox or Chrome due to vulnerabilities. IE still does, apparently, though how much longer is hard to say. My county's GIS page still uses Silverlight, so I nosed around and found that there's a https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/faq/&apos ;">special version of Firefox (known as the Extended Support Release, or ESR) that will continue to support Silverlight through 2017. I'm hoping that the agency updates is GIS page before then.

Thanks Jim.

I just made a shortcut on my desktop for Internet Explorer to open the Trimble planning link instead of Firefox.
