I am not sure if I am doing this properly but here goes.

I have 2 Trimble 4000se units and 1 Ashtech Z-Xtreme that I would like to use for static baselines. The date displayed on the 4000's is Jan 2000.

I can scan the dat files with the Rinex converter but it will not convert them.

The Ashtech file displays the wrong date. I think this is a clock problem and wonder if anyone knows if or how I could fix them. The Ashtech was purchased in 2001.

Thanks for any help.

Try this command in conjunction with any other options you are giving the Rinex converter, using whatever the current week number is.

-week 2044

I shouldn't have assumed what converter you are using.?ÿ I use teqc which is a free download, and that week option is required to fix the 2048 week rollover that the 4000 receivers don't deal with.

When I was still using a pair of Z12 receivers in the early 2000, I remember that it also had the same 1990 date problems in its Rinex files. You don't need to change the dates if you are going to use them as a pair because they will both log at the same wrong dates. I was able to process them and get fix vectors but could not use them together with other newer units.

?ÿ

A firmware upgrade was able to fix them at that time but eventually got the same date error again after the next GPS rollover. They were eventually retired from use.

@jt50

I don't know if the Z12 and Z-extreme are essentially the same and I only have one unit and two trimble 400SE's. I have about reached the conclusion that they are useless. Thanks for your help.
