Hello there! Anyone know if Topcon GR3 is able to Galileo? I'm reading the user manual and say it support three constelations, but I'm using FieldGenius and jus show GPS and Glonass.

Thanks for reading 😉

I'm not certain about that model, but generally with Topcon the receiver will have the physical capability to handle the additional constellation, but the buyer has to pay for a certain module to be activated for it to work. ie/ you can probably get Galileo to work with that receiver if you send Topcon money. That is their business model. It probably isn't worth it for a 15 yr old receiver, IMO.

They said it would...and I doubt any of them were enabled for it other than demo units. It was something like $5000 upgrade per head for a system that didnt yet exist when the GR3's were made.

And I highly doubt there is anymore firmware support for that unit.
