I have older software and receivers (Leica using LGO) and seem unable to post-process CORS data from Septentrio receivers. Issue seems particular to that brand. I have tried converting the Septentrio binary files (SBF) using the Septentrio tools, using RINEX data from multiple CORS networks and all no go. I had a friend with the newer Leica Infinity software give it a go thanks @john-putnam and all seems to work as expected. I believe in the past I have used Septentrio data with zero issues, so thinking something like a firmware update has slightly changed how they record data or some such.
Anyone notice any issue with post processing Septentrio data with a non Septentrio rover? Or any other brand anomalies with such issues?
I am looking at both hardware and software upgrades, being forced by this issue, besides issues with post-processing I am unable to receive MSM data formats for RTN data [Multiple Signal Message (MSM) is the new RTCM-3 to present all GNSS observation data in generic form], cell carriers sunsetting all older formats EXCEPT 4G/5G, etc. Unfortunately I am realizing while older gear works as good as ever with itself, there are drivers outside of our control that forces technology upgrades. ALL receivers with built in modems are going to be inop over cell networks soon (unless you have a 4G modem and even then bands are really rapidly changing supported by carriers), if your carrier hasn't already sunset all but 4G and above, they will soon in next 24 months or so making your built in modem useless if you don't have a 4G version. Probably best future proof method is a Wi-Fi connection to a handset you keep current or something like a Bridge-X that supports most current 4G bands (but not 5G) but should still have a long life.
