Had the VRs and FC5000 for 3 months. Back to the SP 85s and Survey Pro for us. Love the Ranger 7 and the better DC software?ÿ
What are some of the issues that you were having with the Topcon VR units? ?ÿAlso what helped you make the decision to go with SP85 units?
@ferg2655 we had the SP80s and switched to the VR for the added range. (Double). We use mostly base n rover. However we had daily issues with FC 5000 and magnet. The VRs for the most part are damn good with the DC is working. In the end we chose to go back to for us what is more reliable in the Rangers and Survey Pro. And we had great results with the 80s.
This confirms the virtue of the advise I have repeated a number of times- shop for the data collector software and take the hardware it comes with.
