Good morning folks. ?ÿI have a project in VA and a project in MD. ?ÿI am based in CT. ?ÿI didn??t do the survey work for the two projects but am doing the design work. ?ÿThat said though I am traveling to both sites today and tomorrow and want to confirm some stuff with my own Carlson BRx7 rover. ?ÿIs there a free or cheap RTK network I can jump onto for a couple days in the area? ?ÿUp here I pay a yearly subscription a network but we also have a free network called ACORN. ?ÿI??m hoping to find an ??ACORN? in that area. ?ÿAny help would be appreciated. ?ÿI??m going to be driving all day but will check for responses when I can. ?ÿSo if I don??t respond it isn??t because I??m ignoring you.
Not sure this will help at all but they do have some availability now here in parts of the US.
I like their ah la carte scheme - they can do day, week month or year.
Best regards,
Terry
I have heard that VA DOT has one but I don??t know that for a fact.
@mike-shepp?ÿ VDOT tried to create a statewide RTK service but were sued by Leica and Topcon because they already had subscription based networks up and running and that would have killed their businesses.
KEYNET covers MD and some of VA. Is your Connecticut subscription through Keynet?
Short static observations can give good results in that area because of the vast number of CORS.

@va-ls-2867?ÿ Too bad VDOT has not provided that service even with the threats of lawsuits
