I'm looking for a quick way using TEQC or other utility to remove numerous kinematic marker records from a RINEX file. Thanks -

I would also like to know if there's something available as manual editing can be rather time-consuming. It doesn't happen too often for us but sometimes, for whatever and no apparent reason, these tags will show up in our Leica LGO-processed RINEX files.

The only superior evidence is that which you haven't yet found.

The free Trimble RINEX converter has a suppress kinematic observations option. Some T02 files get a stray kinematic observation in them.

This typically happens when the data is collected using Start Receiver (Rover mode) instead of Start Base. We always start static surveys using the Start Base command, due to that as well as other potential pitfalls.

Yes, I figured that out. At least the version of Access I'm using requires a point to start a FastStatic base but there is no here option under key-in like in start RTK base. The way around this is to go into position in GNSS functions then store a point. Then go back to start FastStatic base.

Frankly, it's kind of clunky, shades of Leica ;-).

One possible way is to locate the markers in a text editor like [TextPad] using the highlight-search function. Then, just rem (insert # at front of line) out all of the lines with kinematic data. TextPad has a cool block-insert function or find/replace is a standard.

Haven't done it in awhile after I was shown how to turn off the kinematic option in Trimbles Rinex utility. Which is WAY faster/easier.

@dave-karoly and @wildt2 -

Do you still have any RINEX markers with the kinematic markers in it?

I’m looking for some example RINEX files with the kinematic markers.

https://rpls.com/community/gnss-geodesy/ppk-sng-rinex-example-file-wanted/

Thanks,

Tony.
