Setting up on geodetic control points? I haven??t relied on known ??dumb? points in many years. Sounds like you are doing GNSS very old fashioned methods . Where do you live?
do you have an older coordinate system you need to tie into that isn??t NAD83(2011)? You can log static data and get a position returned by Trimble RTX post processing service. Your result from it will be geodetic numbers not N,E,Z.
