This description was found buried in a project folder from the '90's. Any of you who have done static sessions can relate to the things you do during a long session.
Very amusing. Thanks for posting.
:good: 😀
I believe I have occupied that point in Cedar County Iowa..
Beautiful poetry. A tear is leaving my eye.
Other than the few, almost expected spelling and grammar errors...I believe the Guge has got a good knack for station recovery descriptions!
The official description isn't nearly so colorful and takes a different route.

Geocaching pictures aren't the greatest:
Last long static session I did was in s mid January on a mountain ridge and a snow storm came upon me. I got the thing setup, took my notes and stuff, had nothing to do, so I made a bed with pine boughs and went to sleep. We had 3 setups that day with a 4th person wondering amongst us since we were told not to talk on radios.
I'm told I looked might comfy, somewhat snow covered and snoring like a freight train. I have no reason to dispute any of that.
I was dam sure sound asleep we I got woke up. I'd have probably slept all day if they'd have let me. I didn't have paper or pen to muse with.
Here's to Guger. :pizza:
