GR-ˆ±© memory card

I have set of GR-ˆ±© units. My base does not like to read memory cards for some reason. I have 4 different cards and I can put them all in my rover and they all work. I am new to these units so I don't know much about them. I've gotten the base on a few past jobs about twice I think. One time it just worked from the startup the second I had to create file in the Rover and swap the card over.

The REC light is just solid red or nothing. I can hold function and it cycles the lights and nothing. The Rover I can hold function 1-3 seconds and it starts recording.

I am using SurvCE 5.0 base under log raw gps shows no card. Sometimes it sees old files and says it has activated an old file but the file manager shows no increase in file size or time stamp update.

Rover works Everytime with the Function but or activation through SurvCE. Is the Base memory card slot shot or does it have some settings I need to change.
