I was at NMSU when Jim Reilly established that mark, I believe it is on the "Horseshoe".?ÿ Jim was the head of the Dept of Surveying, College of Engineering.

By the way the control at the Las Cruces Intl Airport is really good.

If I were in Las Cruces I would whole-heartedly support a new coordinate system based on an LDP. But the author hasn't mentioned the imminent NAD2022(?) roll-out at all. I think that's a mistake.?ÿ ?ÿ ?ÿ?ÿ

@norman-oklahoma

Read further. We've been working with NGS to submit based upon their guidance.

@new-mexico

I'm out there a lot recently for the control work and parcel boundary work for the new redevelopment.

The Cruces air monument and the az mark are well established and protected too.
