I am setting up a remote reference station and will be plugging it into a airlink modem to transmit the corrections. How much data will be used if the reference station was broadcasting 24hrs/day for both RTCM and CMR. Would a 5GB data plan take care of the usage?

I believe it would be enough. I don't have an answer to the first part, but 5GB should be enough. 5 GB is about 6.7 MB per hour, 112 kb per minute.

I will check later today on my network.

OK, so RTCM 3.0 only...it is 1.02 MB for 60 minutes of streaming. That is GPS and GLONASS. I will try to do both CMR and RTCM next....

Doing both CMR and RTCM used a little over 2 MB per hour, of course that could vary depending on how many satellites are being tracked.

So in one month that would be about 1.5 GB.

Thanks John. I should still have enough data to download a 5 second rinex file every hour.
