Hi all! I'm seriously considering purchasing a Champion TKO base & rover set. I've had a chance to utilize a set for a short while and do some experimenting. Overall, I was impressed with the results. Does anyone here have any long term experience with these units that they would be willing to share?

Is this what you are talking about? http://www.championinstruments.com/products.html
Your post is the first I have seen on this forum, that even mentions them by name.
MOST of us here, are only used to the regular USA brands. Topcon, Javad, Trimble, Sokia, Leica, Ashtech, and that brand that Carlson is selling, but I'm not familiar with. (No particular order). And, I might have left somebody out.
This looks like a Chinese offering.
So, tell us more about your needs, wants, and specs.
Then, maybe we can offer our ideas.

Well, I stand corrected.
(not like it's a first time!)
I don't know anything about them.
It DOES say it has 220 channels. Which, could indicate, that it has a trimble board? (That's a question).
N
Are they really priced better than some of the other offerings out there at $10,000 per receiver?
I do not have any experience with their equipment. I do personally know a dealer of their equipment, located in southern Indiana. Here is his contact if you have any questions. http://davidjruckman.com/champion.html
He is a very open and honest guy and would tell you whether or not it's the best equipment for your needs, much like the others on this board.

I wont lie, I'm not real familiar with the board manufacturers and models. They are definitely 220 channels, one of the features that has me considering these units. The specs for these units say the board is a Pacific Crest DB970, while the Pac Crest Trimble board is a BD970. So, maybe? I'm sure someone else might better know the answer.

It would seem when they were new on the market (2012?), their price was right around 10k each. The dealer has a much better price right now though.
My name is Stan Wilson. I am an LS and sell Champion equipment. We have three different GNSS receiver models that we are offering currently. I have used Topcon, Leica, and Trimble and I can honestly say I get the same results with Champion as all the others but with less cost. I can be reached anytime at my email [email protected]. I'd be happy to send any information you request. You can also visit our website http://www.championinstruments.com/
Cant speak for champion, I have only used top con, tremble, and javad. From my experience Javad is
superior to others.
