The Triumph-2 appears very affordable. From what I see the Javad post processing is not.

"GEODIS" is listed at $5900.00.

Justin Lite @ $1500.00 and Justin @ $3500.00 do not appear to be baseline processors.

Might want to reread that:

I missed the word baseline as I was trying to figure out what a trajectory was. I take that it is a vector?

No hint if it includes L2 with L1 processing.

Just kidding, carry on.

I'm confused.

Why do I need Javad software if NGS will Post Process for me?

OPUS post processes individual coordinates. When you post process yourself you get the ability to have point to point vectors on site to compare with your ground traverse. You also can mix in L1 only receivers to expand your control. In other words your ground control is a tighter network solution.

I have no experience with OPUS Projects.

As a minimum for network control, 1 L1/L2 & 2 L1 is cheapest, 2 L1/L2 is OK and 2 L1/L2 and 2 L1 rocks. My preference is 1 L1/L2 & 2 L1 for a point set and 3 L1/L2 & 6 L1 for a project. In a couple of hours, more time setting up and breaking down than observing, you can lock in a 100 acre survey project most efficiently.

If the Triumph 2 antenna has not been modeled you can't process in OPUS.

I would make sure this process has at least been started by NGS. Check with JAVAD, they should be able to tell you if they sent a unit to NGS.

By the way you can read all about OPUS and NGS antenna calibration on the NGS website.

To the best of my knowledge NGS does not provide software to evaluate, process and adjust RTK data.

You will want software to do that. I am guessing you might want to combine static, RTK, and total station measurements in your adjustment as well.

Look for a baseline processor and an adjustment package that can handle all of your data types.

It is sad that the technology can't do all of the talking, but right now I think one of JAVAD's companies biggest obstacles is the marketing and dealer network.

Trajectory processing is also known as kinematic. Very useful if you have the equipment, software and knowledge to use. 😉
