Our Nivo had this problem, or something along those lines. It wouldn't hold zero after a double or after a few sideshots. We switched out the tribrachs, and tried using Leica ones, but that still didn't fix the problem. We ended up trading it in, and are now using only Leica TS02 and TS06's.

A few years back on eBay, I bought a Sokkia 330R3 reflector-less TS (3") for $4200, including a TDS Ranger data collector with Survey Pro. The guy was in the military and re-enlisted, so he would not be needing it for a couple years. I was completely happy with it. They seem to be holding their value after 3 years based on eBay listings.
