I asked Wendell for permission to post this so here goes: As some of you know, I buy and sell, on Ebay mostly, to support my antique survey equipment hobby. Well I came across a deal on some Schonstedt locators and have begun listing them on Ebay. My Ebay handle is keparagon if you want to see them. Some of the units do not have manuals and have minor cosmetic issues such as S/Ns in magic marker on case or unit, adhesive residue, etc. nothing broken or damaged. If you can make do without a manual and can put up with a few cosmetic issues these are a real bargain for you. The SurveyConnect price is $275 which includes shipping and a $25 donation/unit to SurveyConnect. If you are not happy with the locator just send it back for a refund… no unhappy customers. I had never used the GA-72cd before I bought these and I am surprised how much I like them . It is well balanced and the visual display is a big plus in a noisy environment. I have about fifteen of these without the manual that are available for sale on the SurveyConnect message board . Here’s my proposition: If you want one, email me with your shipping info, send Wendell $25 and me $250 through Paypal and I will send your locator. My email is in my profile. BTW: The free shipping is good only in the lower 48. I prefer not to deal with customs so please no foreign sales. I have personally checked out each of these units… they are in great operating condition.

These will ship tomorrow. I have installed only one alkaline battery for testing purposes. Schonstedt manual says two lithium are best. Since these are w/o manuals, I think a PDF of the manual is available for free at their website. I am a careful packer but if there are any issues after you receive your locator just let me know.

I have a GA-92 pistol that needs another stretch ribbon in it. It is out of commission, as of this morning. I took it apart, and found the trouble.
So, I think I need another backup unit. Dad took my old 52 model, so now I am in trouble....
Anyway, who has the ribbon that allows the pistol to stretch, and who has an extra metal detector?
