I have a Zeiss Dini 10 digital level from 1997. Great Level, I run a couple of ½ mile loops this week and both closed less than a hundredth.

I had a power failure during a download a couple years ago and now the MEM E card won't work and won't reformat. My Trimble dealer says Trimble no longer has any of the MEM E modules. So I'm back to writing level notes in a feild book and re-entering them in the office.

If anyone has a MEM E module they no longer need or a dealer has one on the shelf PLEASE email me with a price! My email here one the board works.

THANKS

What type of card is it? I have no idea what type of card that you are looking for, but have a couple of older Lexar compact flash cards lying around that work. If they would work for your application, I would send them to you.

if Mem E has a coin battery try to replace it and then reformat the card (You have probably tried that already)

I don't think it's anything you could buy off the shelf. I broke into the old one in hopes of finding something I could replace but no luck. It's probably something that Zeiss had custom manufactured for the level. The chip is about 5/16 thick and 1 x 1-1/2 rectangle. The box has the numbers 708192-0000-000 6069006 on it. The chip has Carl Zeiss Mem E on it. The chip inside has the numbers 708160-1520 on it.

There is no battery in the chip. I sent the level to a dealer for service. They couldn't fix the chip and said none are available from Trimble. I could hook it up to a data collector but don't have the right software on my TSC2. Survey Controller won't run the level. I really don't want to drag a survey controller along with the level in the field or pay a bunch for Survey Pro. I am old enough to have experience with level notes, that's the only upside.
