I'm going to talk straight with you. My honest opinion is that:

There are some commoditys, that you should either know alot about, (then you can buy used, fix it, Cobble it, re rig it, and you are your own warranty, and solve your own problems)

Or

Buy new.?ÿ

If you are working in the wide open, then there are one set of answers. If you are working in woods and such, there are another set of answers.?ÿ

With rtk, you are dealing with 1 cm, plus a bit for additional distance.?ÿ

If I worked in wide open, that stuff that mark silver is selling (igage)and who is an advertiser on this site would get a serious look.

If I needed to work in woods, it's a no brainer. Javad. Theirs is the only one designed to fully mitigate multipath, automatically.

I'm a surveyor. Not a purveyor of equipment. You will get many opinions. But, that is mine.

Of course, it is all improving with time, and what was impossible yesterday, may be possible today, and what is not possible today, may be possible tomorrow.

I think that newer gear is better than older. And that if you do buy used, don't get real old gear.

Nate

Most Trimble dealers have used inventory, just give them a call. I also had good luck with an ebay seller, he buys in bulk from Trimble and then resells on ebay, good prices "munsoned"

?ÿ

Good Luck

Spillers deals in Topcon equipment. https://www.spillersusa.com/

Maine Technical Source deals in Leica. https://www.mainetechnical.com/

Both companies provide excellent customer service.
